Privacy Policy — Miyu Currency
Last updated: July 7, 2026
Miyu Currency is built to respect your privacy completely. The app collects no personal data, contains no analytics or advertising SDKs, and does no tracking. This policy explains what that means in practice.
What we collect
Nothing. We do not collect, sell, share, or transmit any personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no identifiers of any kind.
What stays on your device
Your conversion history, home currency, and settings are stored locally on your device in the app's private storage. They are included in your device's normal encrypted backups if you have those enabled. This data never leaves your device.
Network requests the app makes
- Exchange rates — once per day the app downloads a small static file of exchange rates from our server. The request carries no identifier, no account, and no personal data.
- Messages — once per day the app checks a static file for an occasional note from us (a tip, or a service notice). Same story: no identifiers.
- Approximate region (rare) — the app usually infers the local currency from your device's time zone, entirely on-device, with no location permission. If that fails, it may make one request that returns only the country our CDN inferred from the connection. We never see, store, or log your precise location, and the app never asks for location permission.
Like almost every service on the internet, these requests are served through a CDN (Cloudflare) that maintains standard, short-lived operational logs. We look only at aggregate daily request counts — a simple "how many people used the app today" number with no way to identify anyone.
Children's privacy
Because the app collects no data and does no tracking, it is safe for users of all ages. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
